SUGGESTION: Clearer Communication with Playerbase

Dear administration,

Firstly, would like to thank you for your hard work and dedication to the MUX project. Many of us here are long time fans and prefer this project over others.

I would like to make a suggestion for an easier method of communication to provide updates with players.
These past few days, with all the problems with server etc - nobody had any clue what is going on. So many people speculating, server needs restart, ooh admin is doing an update, new patch, new update etc etc. With nobody having any idea what is really going on.

Now don't get me wrong, I see that Arthur has posted in a thread and chatbox that we are suffering from DDoS attack. Okay, that explains it. But can we please have a thread or something with what is happening that could be pinned? Not all players will see comments on threads etc.I see we have new announcement bar on forum. It is nice that we have warnings about preventing switch char etc. However, where is the reasoning behind it? It does not read as we have DDoS attack and we are working on the problem. Could have more information.

Secondly. I hear rumors that this month new update with new class etc. Now, I don't know if this is true, but if it is - can we please just focus on what is broken first?  CC/DS does not work, skill trees are still broken since last update (IMO this is a pretty big one, considering it messes with PVP), lots of little bugs that have been on a to-do list for many moons. I understand some of these are IGCN problem, however, why are we updating to versions that are not stable? It is ridiculous that CC and DS are not working, and the skill trees are broken.
 

Thirdly - maybe on same thread or seperate thread. Upcoming changes/new systems? The new Skin System (we were told that this would be done before the end of December last year). Other things on to-do list, like JOL option re-roll on wings, etc etc. The little things that have been suggested that would make the server more fun to play/more interactive.

One other BIG thing. Can we PLEASE have a changelog? Somewhere ALL changes to server are logged, on each update. It is really a bit of a joke that after most updates, we have to guess or work out what changes have been made.

Please don't take this as criticism. Just suggestions to help make players happy and to keep us in the loop of what is going on.

About the first one - well, we didn't think that this would take so much time. And we have an announcement on the forum, I thought that that was enough. Will trying to keep in mind for the next time.

About the second one - it's not so easy. In the Tavern section there is a topic "Fun story". It literally describes chaos that players can't see. 2 fixes bring 1 new bug. This is a current reality and in this situation we need to make a priority. Currently, priority is to migrate to the s20. 
You can't even imagine, how glad I will be when our biggest problem will be JOL re-roll on wings. 

About the third one - change log. After we will migrate to the s20, in general, this is a good idea. I will create a separate topic on the forum where summarize in a short way changes, line by line. This can be helpful even for me.

Thanks for your quick response 😊 no I totally understand, I know it must be incredibly frustrating for you to have to work with IGCN. Just some more communication would be awesome. 
 

Great to hear about the plan to implement change logs. Then we can all be on same page 😊 

One last idea - perhaps you could make a roadmap for 2025? Plans to implement around roughly what time etc. not a big deal but could be a nice idea if you find the time.

I thought about this, but... It's impossible now. Like last month we have too much drama, i've spent more time on dramas than on new patch. 
After we migrate to Season 20, we will see.

I can give only personal predictions.

The whole of 2024, we've spent mostly on the 2 gigantic updates - the first half on the balance rework and the second one to catch the latest version with all that new stuff. All skills trees, guild buff, reworks e.t.c.
In general i hope, that that was the last "BIG" gamechanger update. 

In other words, I think that our "house" has a good foundation and construction repairs are done. We have all that we need for a comfortable life, and now we're going to improve it.
Such as improving some gameplay moments, starting to fix little bugs, making website display improvements, return to the game that we have turned off. 

We still have a lot of ideas and a lot of things that can be improved.
