50% players quit

Hi,

It looks like another server is about to die in about a month, and the admins still haven't addressed why this keeps happening. I can tell you the reason.

I've checked every forum topic about server launches and server merges. The average lifespan of a server is around 4 to 5 months. Apollo has already been running for 4 months and has lost about 50% of its players. I would bet that by September, or at the latest early October, we'll see a server merge.

The server is both expensive and incredibly time-consuming.

First flaw: The cost of bonuses. On average to get anything worthwhile, you need to spend at least €100 to €200, and that's heavily dependent on luck. Let's be honest, a random player won't invest that kind of money in a random, pirated server that Webzen could shut down at any moment.

And random loot means that it's possible to spend 200€ and got single jewels. So another unlucky player can quit.

Second flaw: The time investment. To get a brilliant set without spending money, you need around 1.5 million ruud. On a decent character that's about two weeks old, you might earn an average of 10k ruud per day, which takes about 3 hours of gameplay daily. This means you'd need 150 days to reach that goal, which far exceeds the average server lifespan.

And let's face it, 3 hours of active gameplay every day is a lot for MU. Many players come to MU to see progress while they work/spend tine with family and afk to  satisfy some nostalgia. When there's no visible progress after a few weeks, players just quit.

Personally, after a 2 months with my computer running 24/7, I still haven't seen any progress in equipment, and I can't compete in any meaningful boss battles. That’s when I decide to quit.

I remember in June, I couldn't find a single Plate Set +DD+L due to a lack of items. A FKIN PlATE SET—impossible to obtain over one month after the server's release!

No progress means players get bored, and then they quit. It’s as simple as that.

 

Consider that i do not play anymore, just giving you feedback wasting my own time, beacuse i got hope that you can rethink server settings and create something decent after few releases.

And last thing that annoys me the most and was the thing why i quit for good- random luck on BA items.

Double ruud price for BA items, but make them always with luck. I bought 4 items and got 4 without luck. Sorry, but no way i am spending 12€ to buy jwl of to add luck with 50% chance.

I also talked and created a topic about jewel of luck but I received almost all bad comments about my request to increase the success rate.

I completely agree with this opinion. I started playing on this server in 2023 after a long break (about 10 years). Everything was new and interesting for me, but I also couldn’t achieve much solely through gameplay (I simply didn’t have enough time before the servers merged). After that, I left and returned about a month ago. What has changed in a year?

• The game has become more challenging due to the rebalance (not a big deal, just a matter of getting used to it).

It's very difficult to buy the desired items; either they're simply not available on the market, or their price is outrageous (I’m specifically talking about bonuses).
I tried to collect 3 sets: Leather, Plate, and Ashcrow, but I couldn’t fully complete any of them during this time, as each is missing 2-3 items with the desired options.

Now I just log in to vote to get bonuses, hoping that one day I'll find the items I need.

 

Roughly speaking, there’s no difference from 2023. Most ideas and suggestions are ignored since the administration says it’s IGCN’s responsibility and not theirs. Over the past week, I tried three different high-rate servers just to see how they compare, and I discovered that they offer many interesting and cool features that I didn’t even imagine. For example, I suggested simplifying the reset system so that points are automatically distributed based on a percentage ratio (I even implemented this feature, and it works), but the suggestion has already been forgotten and is unlikely to be implemented. On other servers, there’s a very convenient in-game command, /reset auto, which automatically distributes points after a reset (not by percentage, but based on the data you enter).

There’s also a "Battle Pass" system where players receive rewards upon achieving certain conditions (which are completely varied) that are necessary as their character progresses. I also suggested separating system messages from player messages in the chat, but the administration said this is something that needs to be requested from IGCN, while on other servers, this feature is already implemented.

I don’t want to blame anyone, just stating the facts. I’ve lost interest in playing here because, as mentioned before, I see almost no progress. When I come home from work, I want to enjoy the game, relax, and so on, but instead, I get routine tasks—voting, market analysis, disappointment, and ultimately a lack of interest in the game.

 

It’s like in TV shows, there should be suspense to make you want to watch the next episode, but that’s missing here.

It seems that there is only a small part of the truth here, and only in calculations, and getting a Plate is not a problem at all.
The real reason for the dynamics of the games attendance is its age.
This is easy to check. Remember how many people play each time, every year, when a new server is opened, launched.
With each year, with a new server, fewer and fewer people play from beginning.
And maximum a few more years when it will not be practical to maintain a Mu server. Only on enthusiasm.

u need Shooter like CS, not MMORPG. Or  you can Play x99999999 rate servers with a lot of top items for free

u need Shooter like CS, not MMORPG. Or  you can Play x99999999 rate servers with a lot of top items for free

1st- maybe now, after 4 months there is no problem to get plate set, but in june it was impossible to complete.

2nd- comparing cs to mu, where in mu you can get afk progress is stupid. I was playing mu because i didn't have time to play the games anymore. But after 2 months without any significant progress i just get discouraged and quit. 

99999x server you had to spent much more time in game, cuz of constant reseting. Thats why i am choosing low to mid rates only.

And it's not only my opinion. Many ppl play mu for 2 main reason- they like mmo and have no time to play.

I agree. Owners and admins are not making any improvement, even though they see every day some player stop playing. There are many things to develop and improve, and there are many other ways to make people pay more money and keep everyone happy. If I want to play a boring server where everyone is afk and you come home wondering what exactly to do in the game, I'll log into Webzen.
Last chance given to the admins and owners to take the initiative and try to improve something in this server, there is much to achieve. AND IF THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, LET THEM ASK THEIR PLAYERS, WHO GIVE IDEAS CONSTANTLY, and don't pretend to be experts.
The stupid thing is that when someone is defeated by another hero class, they start grumbling and the respective Hero(winner) is nerfed. For this, you can react quickly, and for the important things, you appear to be a great understander. If you were experts and didn't have to listen to the players in your server, you wouldn't be losing 10 players every day! Think carefully about what you will do, because soon people like me will not give another 250eur.

No one wants to spend 4-5 months playing a game to collect certain items and reach a certain level, and when you do have no one to duel with. Still, there should be a bit of a bit of a thrill. Stop making certain classes stronger and weaker. There's such a wide selection of characters, wonder why half of them aren't playable on your server.

They Sell us this Server as an Season 19 Server.. compare this  S19 server with other S19 Servers, you will really fast realise, that alot is missing here and we are still stuck at s17. I mean best example, we are stuck at Brill sets, others have 2 more upgrades. Look at Events, we cant even have the Doppelgänger Event, but it is stil in the Achievements.. and we asked for Months to delete this Achievement and replace it.. what happend ? Web Bons to Server Bons 20% more on exchange!! Guyss!! Crazy Deals here!!

Wait guys, the only problem for you to make BA set is just a ruud? I thought that was a minimum of 8 TOCAs per rank.

I was thinking about donation while actively played the game 2 year ago. But yeah, I rather buy myself another pair of sneakers than make 1 item +14 and +15 (I'm talking about a 120 grade item)

About Brilliant set consuming, brother u have RUUUUUD tocas now, making a set +15 is 2x2. on Sega I was vacuum cleaning every TOCA from people on server to make my +13.  They already made it much easier to farm. basically u can make bri set+13 without even spending your bonuses

 

Cost of bonuses:  its just a reality,  if you don't like paying for it , you can try streaming, I earned 50-60% of my bonuses via streaming, yes I was donating as well.   I have a friend who did not donated a penny, but by his work with streams and later as a senate become a TOP player of our server, it will just take you more time to get to there, but still possible

About time investment- it is 1000% personal choice , if you want to be top, you got to play a lot , at least in beginning and mid game.

 

Believe me Apollo server was easiest to play, you already had updates of RUUD Toca, Reworked ashy aida (that even my grandmother could craft 20+ w4) in no matter of time. You could Trade MUUNS, any1 could get precious BUNNY!. Everything was simplified by the time apollo started

 

The only thing I will agree is that life span of servers is not impressive,  and from myself I will add that there is no END GAME Content, once you are maxed u just afk farm chill, and CS that's the only drawbacks for me = )

 

 

And most important here is community, its literally best server I played, and if I ever decide to play MU again, it will be definitely be Mux))))  @Skedi @Devil one love :*

Ok, if making the set is easy, then why about 20 players or even less got set better than regular ancient set(+1k stats).

If you dont believe me check top players and count how many out of top 100 got soul set or better.

And how many 4th wings was on market already? 

1 for gunner, counting from may.

Dude, i did about 86 mazes and did not get an item to make 4th wings, similar amount of varkas still no consor flame. Cc are impossible to win with 2nd wings. And you telling me that you could make 20 pairs in this time. Again check how many ppl got 4th wings from top 100- about 30players.
